Northwind Transit Authority

Six weeks documenting a city's rush hour from the same eleven vantage points, returning to each at the same time of day until the pattern underneath the crowd became visible.

The brief was a transit campaign; the method was repetition. Photographing identical positions across six weeks turned individual commuters into a legible rhythm — the same corner, the same light, a different two hundred people.

Working Process

The Unseen Work

We don’t just capture moments; we construct narratives through light, shadow, and rigorous preparation.

Role
Lead Photographer
Duration
6 Weeks
01

Discovery & Direction

Defining the visual language. We strip the idea down to its core emotion before building the storyboard.

02

Concept & Story

Location scouting and casting. Every variable is calculated to ensure the shoot day flows like jazz.

03

Production & Capture

Execution. Controlled chaos. We embrace the imperfections of the environment while adhering to the vision.

04

Refinement & Delivery

The edit, color grade, and sound design. This is where the atmosphere is truly solidified.

“Returning to the same eleven positions for six weeks sounded excessive when they proposed it. The consistency is the entire reason the series reads as one body of work.”
