Fabric of Identity

Verso Atelier

A fashion film built around cloth rather than the people wearing it — weight, drape and the sound a garment makes when it moves are the things the camera follows.

Verso's archive collection had been photographed conventionally for a decade. We inverted the hierarchy: the camera stays with the fabric as it falls, and faces appear only where a garment's movement puts them in frame.

Working Process

The Unseen Work

We don’t just capture moments; we construct narratives through light, shadow, and rigorous preparation.

Role
Director / Creative Direction
Duration
4 Weeks
01

Discovery & Direction

Defining the visual language. We strip the idea down to its core emotion before building the storyboard.

02

Concept & Story

Location scouting and casting. Every variable is calculated to ensure the shoot day flows like jazz.

03

Production & Capture

Execution. Controlled chaos. We embrace the imperfections of the environment while adhering to the vision.

04

Refinement & Delivery

The edit, color grade, and sound design. This is where the atmosphere is truly solidified.

From the collaboration

Ethan Walker

Marketing Director, BluePeak Apparel

“Nobody had thought to point the camera at the cloth instead of the model. It sounds obvious now. It has changed how we brief every film since.”
